A term used to describe a short speech that outlines an idea for a product, service, or project. The name comes from the idea that speech should be communicated in the short time of a walk with the elevator, usually 20-60 seconds. In the financial world, the discourse refers to an entrepreneur’s attempt to convince a capital investor that a business idea deserves to invest in it.
